Toshiba Folio 100 Tablet PC Android Saingan iPad – Toshiba akhirnya merilis Folio 100 tablet PC seperti yang dijanjikan sebelumnya. Tablet Android ini sempat muncul beberapa waktu lalu dan saat ini mulai tersedia di pasaran Eropa seperti Inggris, Spanyol, dan Jerman.
Folio 100 diklaim Toshiba bisa memberikan pengalaman pengguna yang kaya akan hiburan dan akses ke berbagai jenis aplikasi dan unduhan lewat Toshiba Market Place. Selain itu Toshiba juga berkeinginan mempromosikan bahwa Folio 100 memiliki berbagai cara untuk terhubung serta memiliki dukungan terhadap Adobe Flash 10.1. Toshiba juga menyediakan Music Place yang didukung 7Digital dan menawarkan cara mudah mengakses katalog musik terbanyak. Musik ini bisa diunduh ke dalam hard disk yang berukuran 16GB atau di awan internet untuk dipakai pada kesempatan lain.
Folio 100 memakai CPU Nvidia Tegra 2, layar sentuh kapasitif 10.1 inci dengan resolusi 1024×600 piksel, serta antarmuka grafis sangat intuitif yang berjalan di atas OS Android 2.2. Baterainya diklaim bisa bertahan 7 jam, dan ditawarkan dalam berbagai model dan harga yaitu €429 untuk model tanpa 3G dan €529 untuk model dengan 3G (di Jerman), €399 dan €499 di Italia, serta £329 untuk model murahnya.
